GPS
GPS was established in 1978 and has evolved into an innovative, multimillion pound business. With the two other GPS companies - GPS Automation and GPS Installation - the company is large enough to manage the most complex projects, while offering outstanding customer service. The focus is on always delivering quality products on time and within budget.
So why is GPS different?
1. Our experience
Renowned for working on control systems both large and small, GPS has built control panels and system solutions for many different applications across a huge range of industries.
Some examples are;
Water and waste treatment - Level, flow and process control
Rail - Train washing systems, Signaling Power Supplies, Remote Monitoring Systems
Quarrying - Power distribution & Process control
Building services - Environment control
London Underground - Signaling Supply Panels, Process control
Airports - Pumping systems
Power stations - Materials Handling
2. Our in-house capability
Through the three companies - GPS, GPS Automation, and GPS installation - we offer a total solution which is designed, built and installed entirely in-house. This means
- complete control of time, costs and quality.
- flexibility for building exactly what's needed - custom-built turnkey solutions, or individual elements for a third-party project.
- major elements of risk are removed - no subcontractors, no delays, no penalties.
- GPS applies the same exacting standards to small systems as it does to large.
3. Our customers
We build long-term relationships with our customers so we can grow their control systems with them. Even through changes - and few companies have changed more than the water companies - we remain their supplier. Customers stay with us because we always deliver and we aim, always, to delight our customers.
4. Our commitment to quality
The underpinning quality standard is ISO9001:2000 Part 1. Every single one of our products is CE marked, showing compliance with EN standards EN60439 (Harmonised EU standard for factory built low voltage assemblies)
5. Our technical ability
As the first company to bring the Intelligent Motor Control Centre (IMCC) to the UK Water market, we offer both Intelligent and Conventional Control Centres, depending on your requirements. The IMCC uses the Siemens Simocode, which rapidly became the UK defacto standard for IMCCs after GPS introduced it to the UK. Our innovation and technical advancement is combined with an old-fashioned belief in delivery, which means we custom-build the control system you want, to the highest quality standards, and deliver in the timescale you specify.
